Architect & Urban Designer
Growing up and having trained in Cape Town, I relocated to Johannesburg in 2003 to explore the limits and potential of space in a new democracy. The relationship between space and society drives my curiosity, travels and practice. This subsequently encourages travels lots of it to Latin America, India and Europe. Upon completing an MSc in Urban Design at UCL (London), intoxicating and emergent Johannesburg was an obvious place to test ideas through realised commissions and experimentation. Research together with teaching (WITS, UJ and a stint in ETH-Zurich) provides a meaningful grounding to work and engagement with this city and its people.
