Negotiating Difference
MSC Urban Design
British Council
University College of London (The Bartlett), UK
September 2005 – October 2006

The studio-based Urban Design course (funded by the Chevening Scholarship program) facilitated the inquiry and development of how urban design may be used to engage critically in post-apartheid South African spatial practice. Negotiating Difference suggests spatial strategies for a more democratic and humane society through spatial terms. The underlying themes strongly influences the ethos and spirit of the studio today.
