A 1930’s industrial building is converted into an inner city apartment for a young couple. The primary living spaces are open plan and located along the north-facing windows towards the city with the kitchen the primary servant space dividing public and private zones of the apartment. An internal balcony mediates public and private areas whilst also acting as a retreat space and herb garden. The spatial arrangement and design of partitions enable a variety of accommodation options for the users.
